In 1997, Green Triangle Plantation Forest Company of Australia Pty. Ltd. (GPFL) began planting Eucalyptus globulus on pastures in the Green Triangle area of Western Victoria, Australia, with the goal of securing hardwood chip raw materials. The current harvesting cycle is approximately 20 years, and harvesting operations commenced in late 2009. When the trees reach the harvesting stage, they are purchased by logging contractors, processed into woodchips, and then sold to the Oji Group.
